Anita Barone
Anita Barone, a stage actress who has a broad range of talent, mostly related to sitcoms on TV and got the most coveted chance to shine on screen as Jeff Foxworthy's spouse on the ABC show "The Jeff Foxworthy Show" which aired for one season between 1995 and 1996. Barone began her stage appearance at age five in Detroit which is where she was raised following the move of her family out of St Louis. By age 23, she had appeared in over 50 plays, mostly in university production and regional theaters. The role she played was Juliet, a frightened young nun in "Agnes of God," Helen Keller, the protagonist in "Monday After the Miracle,"" as well as Juliet again for the role of Juliet "Romeo as well as Juliet." Her screen debut came through a brief appearance in "The Roseary Murders" (1987) she also played some time as a character in "Ricochet" (1991) as well as landed a lead in the romantic comedy indie "Just Friends" (1996). Barone was hired by NBC in the 1990-91 time frame as a stockholder of "Carol & Company" that was a failed effort of Carol Burnett at reviving the sketch comedy/variety show. Barone was in "Wounded Heart", a 1995 USA Network film. Then she returned to the weekly sitcom grind, co-starring alongside Michael Chiklis in "Daddio" (NBC, 2000).
