Maureen Denise McCormick was born on the 5th of August 1956, in Woodland Hills California the youngest and only child of Richard McCormick and Irene McCormick. Her father taught in the school system while her mother was a stay at home mom. Michael Dennis, Kevin and Dennis are her three older brothers. McCormick began singing and performing from a young age. When McCormick was six years young, she took home the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley pageant. Pat Domigan at Jack Wormser Agency approached her to ask her if she'd like to go into the show business. McCormick was chosen to play in her first major role in 1964 in a tv commercial for Mattels most recent doll, Baby Pattaburp. The commercial was re-run in 1964, for the Mattels Chatty Cathy toy and soon was cast as the main character in The Wind It Up and It Breaks, a play in the La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch McCormick, who was selected from over 200 auditioned kids, played the third of three head-to-head daughters, in The Brady Bunch (1969) with Florence Henderson and Robert Reed. It lasted five years. McCormick in her memoir Heres the Story Surviving Marcia Brady And Finding My True Voice Published in 2008, McCormick disclosed that during the 5th season of the show she almost lost their virginity to twin brother Barry Williams. He was just 19. She was 16. We would've had a couple, she added. However, the timing was not the right time.
