Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox, born 25th December 1954 in Aberdeen Scotland. Dorothy Farquharson was her mother as was Thomas Allison Lennox was her father. Lennox attended Lennox's Royal Academy of Music, London in the 1970s. She took a course in harpsichord and flautist piano over 3 years. Lennox was paid a allowance and worked part-time to supplement her budget. Lennox was of the opinion that her talents were inferior to those of those of her Royal Academy classmates. So she started thinking of other routes she could choose. Lennox joined a group called Dragons Playground as the flute player in the year 1976. She quit the band prior to New Faces, the I.T.V. talent show. From 1977 to 1980 she served as the singer-songwriter for The Tourists, a British pop group. That was also where she met Dave Stewart with whom she formed Pop duo Eurythmics. Lennox worked on her solo debut album Diva. It was released in 1993. The album was hugely successful both critically and commercially. Nostalgia Lennoxs sixth album as a solo artist came out in the month of October, 2014. The C.D. Lennox has picked her most favored blues, soul and jazz tunes. Lepidoptera was recorded by Lennox on the 19th of May 2019. The collection comprised of four songs composed by Lennox. The E.P. This is the companion album to her album Now I Let it go... artwork which was on display at Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art. The album is her first independently-released album.
